In England you can find all types of music like pop, rock, opera among others. England has a very long and rich musical history like most of european countries, though it has lived a revival in the latter half of the 20th century. English music has been a really important part of this phenomenon that reached its top at the end of the 60s and the 70s.
The achievements of the anglican followed by composers of the 16th century like Thomas Tallis, John Taverner and William Byrd have tended to darken the instrumental composition, but the one that had major interest was the Rock and Roll. In this country emerged the most important bands of this genre such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Queen, and Iron Maiden among others.
